I purchased my family's home at 944, rescuing it from a previous coworker who had lost interest in the partially gutted property. Selling my previous home, I took charge of the project, acting as the architect and general contractor and delving into roles such as metal fabricator, finish carpenter, and flooring & tile installer as pricing considerations unfolded. Despite the unexpected roles, the home has provided a wonderful living space for my wife and two kids. It has also turned into a hobby, allowing me to invest my spare time in ongoing improvements. All in all, it has been a great deal for us and a valuable learning experience, successfully executing an interesting design with minimal resources.
