I served as Principal with SPACE for several years, collaborating closely with both our clients and our in-house construction team and fabrication studio. Although the projects were smaller in scale, I had the opportunity to engage in every aspect of the process, from programming and designing to documenting, pricing, budgeting, value engineering, construction, and fabrication. This hands-on, true design-build experience was truly enjoyable and laid a strong foundation for my respect for everyone involved in the process, from our clients to the individuals in the field doing the work. I hold great respect for the owner, Tom Niemeier, and am sincerely grateful for all the opportunities I was given.
